I’ve been making websites and designing games for over 8 years now. My most successful site has been AddictingGames.com which is now owned by MTV. After the sale I launched OneMoreLevel.com and it has grown to over 3 million visitors a month. I’m particularly interested in Web 2.0 startups, game design and the growth of the casual gaming industry, which is the intended focus of this blog, however it may degenerate into lolcat photos and off-topic ramblings.
My design philosophy behind OneMoreLevel is:
- Quality over quantity. Only the best games make it on.
- Non-intrusive and minimal advertising. I don’t allow pop-up or audio ads.
- A quick, clean layout and no login required to play games.
- Free sharing of games. I’m happy to link to my competitor’s site if they have a good title I do not. I’m not a fan of walled-in sites.
- Reward developers. Without them we wouldn’t have any games and I wouldn’t have a job!
My other interests include playing guitar, photography, hiking, disc golf and travel.

Thank you for having a game site for quick and free games.
Plus you don’t have to go through a whole lot of b.s. to play them.
Bomb-a-bomb is probably one of THE best games I’ve played. On my computer the many pixels slows the game but It’s so addicting!

Hey man nice designing you’ve got some serious talent. I love the no-membership thing, it makes gaming so much easier. OML is so much better than Miniclip, but they have all the advertising, so i tell all i know of your awesome games. OML and Addicting Games are some of the only places gaming is nag-free anymore, because everywhere else requires membership to play fun games. Overall, thank you SOOOOO much for your sites, I hope you continue to do your thing.

Ira — My cousin Zach showed me AddictingGames.com about five years ago, and ever since then I was hooked on it - I told my friend Joey when he came to OneMoreLevel.com “Dude! AddictingGames is the original! Go to that!”; Then I saw how bad MTV messed it up. Plus, I didn’t know that you were behind both; great work, and great slogan, always gets me a laugh.
I come to OneMoreLevel.com all the time, mostly as a Daily Loss of Productivity, but it’s also just something simple. I was going to make a suggestion; I’m pretty sure you’re familiar with the Xbox 360 game console, and it’s ability to gain ‘Achievements’ for ‘Gamer Score’ — Well, what if you did that for games on OneMoreLevel? Let someone sign up for an account, and make “Unlockables” (A different, better name than that) and “OneMoreScore” as a sum of all that people can do on this site — Just a thought. Either way, I’m not going to stop coming here — Thanks Ira!

Man u r a friggin genius when it comes down to computers. I love the websites addictinggames.com and onemorelevel.com. I like the setup of both websites and i think that not having to have a membership to play on these websites is the best i hope u keep up the good work and i hope u can make more websites that i will be willing to visit. if u have the time please email and tell me if u have any new websites or anything. I will be willing to visit them

onemorelevel rock i com every day the no pop ups is great and lets you keep on playing the games
you SHOULD consider makeing the free riders into nintendo DS games every one would buy them (i would buy five of each if you did make them into DS games)

onemorelevel.com is awesome! I come to it all the time! My favorite game on onemorelevel is The Impossible Quiz and The Impossible Quiz 2. I can complete both of them. And keep adding new games on here and make more of them to add.

You rock kongregate is trash……just went to see puzzle games and there was this one game called maze and you know wat i saw?you alrdy prob know…..exorcist.On the other hand i like you because you dont get messed up scary pop up games…..thnx again

hey dude you should sooo make free rider 2 into a games console game like nintendo DS game or PSP game or PS3 game or something!!! you have to seriously everyone will love it you’ll probably get loads of cash from it cos of the millions of people who love playing it!! soooo just consider it please it would be awesome if you did it.
